Position Overview
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer who is ready to take on greater leadership responsibility and play a key role in the growth of a nationally recognized practice.
You will serve as a highly visible technical and project leader, managing client relationships, overseeing complex geotechnical projects, mentoring engineering staff, supporting business development efforts, and ensuring successful project execution.
The position combines technical excellence, project management, client interaction, team leadership, and business growth, creating an exceptional platform for long-term career advancement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead complex geotechnical projects from proposal development through construction and project completion.
Perform and oversee geotechnical analyses and engineering design for a variety of project types.
Design and evaluate deep foundation systems, retaining walls, support of excavation systems, and ground improvement solutions.
Oversee field investigations, subsurface exploration programs, and construction observation activities.
Prepare and review technical reports, specifications, recommendations, proposals, and construction documents.
Manage project budgets, schedules, billings, financial performance, and resource allocation.
Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients while cultivating and strengthening long-term relationships.
Mentor, train, and review the work of junior engineers and technical staff.
Identify opportunities to expand services with existing clients and support new business development efforts.
Maintain the highest standards of technical quality, client service, and project execution.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
- PE license required.
- Master's Degree with Geotechnical emphasis preferred.
- 10+ years of geotechnical consulting experience.
- Experience with geotechnical investigations and construction observation.
- Strong understanding of deep foundations, support of excavation systems, retaining walls, earth retention systems, and ground improvement.
- Experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, billings, and client communications.
- Strong technical writing, specification preparation, and report review skills.
- Proven ability to mentor, train, and develop junior engineering staff.
- Demonstrated experience supporting business development and client relationship management.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building abilities.
