My client is seeking a Senior Water Resources Project Manager to help lead and grow its Water Resources practice across Ohio. This is a leadership-level opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to oversee major municipal infrastructure projects, mentor technical staff, and play a key role in client development throughout the state.

The position will focus on stormwater management, drainage infrastructure, watershed planning, flood mitigation, stream restoration, and municipal capital improvement projects. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage high-profile client relationships, and help shape the future direction of the water resources group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of complex water resources and stormwater projects across Ohio
  • Manage project teams responsible for watershed studies, drainage design, flood mitigation, stormwater master plans, and municipal infrastructure improvements
  • Serve as a senior technical resource for hydrologic and hydraulic analyses
  • Develop and maintain relationships with municipalities, counties, utility providers, and public-sector agencies
  • Oversee project budgets, schedules, staffing, and quality management
  • Review technical reports, engineering studies, design plans, permit applications, and construction documents
  • Support business development efforts, client pursuits, and proposal preparation
  • Mentor and develop project managers, engineers, and technical staff
  • Collaborate with transportation, environmental, survey, and utility teams on multidisciplinary projects
  • Help drive the continued growth of the water resources practice throughout Ohio

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in water resources, stormwater, drainage, or municipal infrastructure engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • Demonstrated project management experience on municipal and public-sector projects
  • Strong technical expertise in hydrology, hydraulics, and stormwater management
  • Experience with:
    • HEC-RAS
    • HEC-HMS
    • SWMM
    • HY-8
    • Civil 3D
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong client management, communication, and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Ohio stormwater regulations, permitting requirements, and municipal project delivery

Preferred Experience

  • Municipal stormwater and utility infrastructure programs
  • ODOT and local government projects
  • Watershed planning and regional stormwater studies
  • Floodplain management and FEMA-related projects
  • Stream restoration and water quality initiatives
  • Business development and client relationship management
  • Experience leading teams and growing technical groups
  • Existing relationships with municipalities and public agencies throughout Ohio
