Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer
A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Water & Wastewater Engineer to join its growing team in Little Rock, Arkansas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a leading role in the design and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure. The successful candidate will work across a diverse project portfolio while developing client relationships, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and progressing into greater project management responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Design municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects
- Support the design of wastewater treatment facilities and treatment processes
- Deliver water distribution, storage, and treatment projects
- Design gravity sewer and pressure sewer systems
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, reports, and construction documents
- Complete field inspections and provide construction-phase support
- Coordinate work across multiple engineering disciplines
- Communicate directly with municipal clients, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Assist with project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and technical delivery
- Support and mentor junior engineers and technical staff
- Contribute to the continued growth of the firm's water and wastewater practice
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline from an ABET-accredited university
- Professional Engineer license in Arkansas, or the ability to obtain Arkansas licensure within six months
- Approximately 6 or more years of civil engineering consulting experience
- Demonstrable municipal water and wastewater treatment process design experience
- Experience preparing construction plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D
- Experience with hydraulic collection or distribution system modelling is advantageous
- Strong technical writing and client communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
