About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Customer Design Manager to lead the design and delivery of data centre projects. This role is responsible for ensuring designs meet customer requirements, reliability and sustainability targets, regulatory standards, budget expectations, and project timelines across multiple regional projects.

Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple data centre projects from design through delivery, ensuring quality, cost, and schedule objectives are achieved.
Develop and maintain design standards and performance requirements across projects.
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary consultants, including architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, and electrical design teams.
Ensure compliance with customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Manage design changes, technical approvals, and customer design variations.
Support technical proposals, RFP responses, and compliance reviews.
Drive improvements in safety, efficiency, sustainability, and design quality.
Conduct site visits to verify construction quality and adherence to design intent.
Promote continuous improvement through lessons learned and innovative design solutions.

Key Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
Professional Engineer or Registered Architect qualification preferred.
Minimum 10 years of design consultancy experience, including leadership responsibilities.
Experience delivering large-scale infrastructure or mission-critical projects across multiple regions.
Familiarity with Design-Bid-Build, Design & Build, and other project delivery models.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
Experience in hyperscale or mission-critical data centres is highly desirable.
Proficiency in English and Mandarin preferred.
Willingness to travel and support projects across different locations.
