Key Responsibilities
- Support drainage planning studies by evaluating mitigation alternatives and assisting with budget-level cost estimates.
- Performhydrologic and hydraulic analyses, including:
- Watershed and runoff modeling
- Channel and wash hydraulics
- Scour evaluations
- Culvert design
- Roadway drainage analysis
- Storm drain system design
- Retention and detention basin design
- Erosion protection measures
- Hydraulic structure design, including weirs, drop structures, culverts, and energy dissipators
- Prepare technical reports, studies, and supporting documentation for drainage engineering and floodplain management projects.
- Assist with stormwater permitting, compliance, and surface water management deliverables.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams on land development and public infrastructure projects.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in stormwater engineering, drainage analysis, or water resources engineering.
- Experience supporting residential, commercial, master-planned community, and FEMA floodplain-related projects.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Proficiency with hydraulic andhydrologic modeling software, including:
- HEC-HMS
- HEC-RAS
- FLO-2D
- Experience using GIS applications for drainage planning and analysis.
- Familiarity with drainage-related construction plans, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Ability to prepare or review construction documents for channels, culverts, storm drain systems, and related drainage infrastructure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, stay organized, and work effectively with limited supervision.
