Structural Engineer - Las Vegas
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Engineer of Record (EOR) on a variety of structural engineering projects ranging from renovations to complex new construction developments.
- Manage projects from proposal through completion, including scope development, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Lead structural design efforts utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, wood, cold-formed steel, and other construction materials.
- Perform structural analysis, calculations, and design using industry-standard software such as RISA, RAM, ETABS, SAFE, and similar platforms.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Support business development initiatives and assist in identifying new project opportunities.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff through coaching and project leadership.
- Conduct site visits, field observations, and condition assessments throughout Las Vegas and surrounding markets.
- Prepare technical reports, engineering studies, and construction documentation.
- Drive technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across project delivery practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Nevada PE preferred.
- Structural Engineer (SE) license considered highly desirable.
- 10+ years of structural engineering consulting experience.
- Strong background in the design and analysis of building structures.
- Experience managing projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients, staff, and project stakeholders.
- Proven leadership skills and experience mentoring engineering teams.
