About the Opportunity
A well-established multidisciplinary engineering and design firm is seeking a Structural Engineer (PE) to join its growing team in the Tampa area. The organization provides structural design services for a diverse portfolio of projects, including single-family residential, multifamily, clubhouse, mixed-use, and commercial developments across Florida and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design for residential and commercial structures.
- Prepare engineering calculations using concrete, masonry, steel, and timber design.
- Develop construction documents, structural plans, and technical details.
- Produce drawings and models utilizing Revit, AutoCAD, and other engineering software.
- Review project plans, specifications, and applicable building code requirements.
- Conduct site visits and evaluate construction progress for compliance with design intent.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, contractors, and clients.
- Respond to RFIs, submittals, and other project-related technical inquiries.
- Prepare technical reports, structural assessments, and engineering recommendations.
- Participate in quality control reviews and maintain project documentation.
- Support project delivery through all phases, from initial design through construction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Professional Engineer (PE) License required.
- Experience in structural design for residential and/or commercial buildings.
- Strong knowledge of Florida building codes and construction practices.
- Experience designing with concrete, masonry, steel, and wood framing systems.
- Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- 3+ years of structural engineering experience.
- Experience with 2D and 3D modeling software.
- Exposure to high-wind and seismic design.
- Experience coordinating directly with architects, contractors, and developers.
