The company is a leading regional general contractor, delivering construction projects across education, healthcare, public/municipal, and commercial. They are hiring a proven Superintendent to execute on complex healthcare facilities including hospitals, medical office buildings, ambulatory surgery centers, freestanding emergency departments, specialty clinics, and healthcare renovations.
This individual will play a critical leadership role in coordinating subcontractors, maintaining strong relationships with relevant representatives, architects, and consultants, and ensuring minimal disruption to active operations.
Key responsibilities of the Superintendent | Healthcare Construction include:
- Oversee all field operations from mobilization through final completion.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, sequencing plans, and site logistics.
- Coordinate construction activities with project managers, owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Champion the firm's safety culture and enforce OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements.
- Conduct quality inspections and manage punch list activities.
- Serve as the primary field contact for clients, architects, and consultants.
Key requirements of the Superintendent | Healthcare Construction include:
- Experience as a Superintendent on healthcare construction projects, having led the building of at least two relevant ground-up projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, sequencing, and quality control.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools.
- Experience working with public-sector clients, including school districts, colleges, and universities.
