We're partnering with a leading engineering consultancy that continues to secure major work across land development, transport infrastructure, urban renewal, and government projects throughout Queensland. As a result of continued growth, they're looking to add a Traffic Engineer to their Brisbane team.
This position offers exposure to a broad range of projects, from major masterplanned communities and commercial developments through to state government and transport infrastructure schemes.
The Opportunity
You will be involved in the delivery of a variety of traffic engineering and transport planning projects, taking responsibility for technical analysis, client engagement, and project delivery.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing Traffic Impact Assessments (TIA) and Transport Impact Assessments
- Undertaking intersection and network analysis using SIDRA and other traffic modelling tools
- Conducting traffic, parking, access, and road network assessments
- Supporting development applications and planning approvals
- Developing transport and access strategies for land development projects
- Liaising with local councils, state government authorities, developers, and project stakeholders
- Contributing to project management and client relationship activities
About You
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Transport Planning, or a related discipline
- Experience delivering Traffic Impact Assessments within a consultancy environment
- Strong understanding of Queensland planning frameworks and development assessment processes
- Experience with SIDRA, VISSIM, Aimsun, or similar traffic modelling software
- Excellent technical report writing and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and engage directly with clients and stakeholders
