Our client, a well-established firm specializing in civil and transportation engineering, is looking for a Transportation Project Manager to join their team in Chicago. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead major infrastructure projects that enhance urban mobility and improve community connectivity.
As a Transportation Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full project lifecycle-from initial planning and design through to final construction. You'll work closely with public agencies, consultants, and internal teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Manage transportation projects from concept through construction.
- Coordinate with agencies such as IDOT, CDOT, and CTA.
- Prepare and review engineering reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Mentor junior engineers and support staff.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and client communications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 6-12 years of experience in transportation engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois.
- Experience with IDOT Phase I/II projects and local agency coordination.
- Proficiency in MicroStation, OpenRoads, and related design software.
