Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Transportation Project Manager to lead the planning, design, and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects throughout Ohio. This role is responsible for managing project teams, maintaining client relationships, overseeing project budgets and schedules, and ensuring the successful execution of roadway, highway, intersection, and transportation improvement projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transportation engineering, proven project management experience, and the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams while delivering high-quality solutions to public-sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage transportation engineering projects from proposal through final delivery.
- Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation efforts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Oversee the preparation of roadway, highway, traffic, and transportation design plans.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including roadway, traffic, drainage, environmental, and surveying staff.
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to quality standards, schedules, and budgets.
- Assist with business development activities, client presentations, and proposal preparation.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
- Participate in client meetings, public involvement efforts, and agency coordination.
- Ensure compliance with ODOT standards, local regulations, and industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of transportation engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- Demonstrated experience managing transportation infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of roadway design principles, transportation planning, and project delivery processes.
- Experience working with ODOT standards, procedures, and permitting requirements.
- Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing large-scale DOT or municipal transportation projects.
- Established relationships with public agency clients in Ohio.
- Familiarity with MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and transportation modeling software.
- PMP certification is a plus.
