About the Company
A growing Pacific Northwest civil engineering consultancy known for its collaborative culture and diverse project portfolio is adding to its teams in both Portland and Seattle/Greater Seattle. The firm works across public and private sectors on transportation, utility, school, commercial, residential, renewable energy, and site development projects throughout Oregon and Washington.
The Role
A hands-on civil engineering position supporting all phases of project design and delivery across a varied portfolio. A good fit for an engineer early in their career looking to build broad experience across multiple project types and disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and technical reports
- Site grading, drainage and utility design, and erosion control
- Permitting, agency coordination, and tracking permit requirements throughout project lifecycles
- Support construction administration through site visits, meetings, and inspections
Required Qualifications
- Oregon or Washington PE license or EIT working toward licensure (ability to obtain PE within six months preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of relevant civil engineering experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills with internal teams, clients, and agency staff
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with design standards and permitting in the Portland metro, SW Washington, or Western Washington areas
- Understanding of the land use entitlement process
- Experience with Vehicle Tracking, ArcGIS, and Bluebeam
- CESCL certification
- Experience designing LID features on public and private projects
Compensation
- $75,000 to $130,000 depending on experience
- Full benefits package
