Travel: Significant travel required across the Midwest for future projects. Travel package and per diem available for employees working away from their home location.
About the Role
A leading electrical contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join its growing Mission Critical / Data Center Construction team. This position will be based on a major project in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area, with future opportunities supporting hyperscale data center and advanced technology projects across the Midwest.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background managing large-scale electrical construction projects, leading field teams, coordinating subcontractors, and delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Lead project coordination, scheduling, procurement, and execution activities.
- Oversee field staff, subcontractors, and vendor performance.
- Monitor project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and profitability.
- Ensure compliance with contract requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations.
- Coordinate with clients, general contractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
- Drive project schedules and proactively resolve construction challenges.
- Support successful delivery of hyperscale data center and mission critical infrastructure projects.
- Maintain strong communication with project teams and company leadership.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager on large-scale construction projects.
- Direct experience managing electrical construction installations, including:
- Low-voltage (120V-600V) and medium-voltage electrical systems.
- Conduit and raceway installations.
- Cable tray systems and support structures.
- Medium-voltage cable terminations.
- Site grounding and bonding systems.
- Underground duct banks and electrical trench installations.
- Experience working for an electrical contractor is required.
- Strong understanding of project management, scheduling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.
Preferred Experience
- Mission Critical / Data Center construction experience.
- Hyperscale data center electrical infrastructure projects.
- Advanced Technology, Industrial, or Critical Infrastructure construction.
- Electrical trade background, apprenticeship, or relevant construction/electrical degree.
- Experience managing projects valued from $20M+ to $200M+.
