Travelling Commissioing Manager

A leading project and construction management consultancy is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager to support the delivery of large-scale data center projects across the United States.

This is an opportunity to join a growing mission critical team and play a key role in the commissioning, startup, testing, and turnover of complex data center facilities for some of the industry's most prominent clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities from pre-functional testing through final turnover.
• Manage and coordinate commissioning agents, contractors, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Oversee functional performance testing of critical MEP infrastructure, including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Review commissioning plans, procedures, schedules, and turnover documentation.
• Drive project readiness, issue resolution, and system integration activities.
• Track and manage commissioning progress, deficiencies, and closeout items.
• Coordinate closely with construction, design, operations, and client teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Support site inspections, witness testing, and commissioning meetings throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of commissioning, construction, or mission critical project experience.
• Prior experience on data center, mission critical, pharmaceutical, semiconductor, healthcare, or other technically complex facilities.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including testing and startup processes.
• Experience managing commissioning activities and coordinating multiple stakeholders on active construction sites.
• Familiarity with turnover, closeout, and quality assurance processes.
• Willingness and ability to travel or relocate to project sites as required.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
