The Opportunity
As a Water Wastewater Project Manager, you'll oversee major municipal water and wastewater projects throughout the state, working closely with utilities, local governments, and multidisciplinary delivery teams.

You'll play a key role in project execution, client management, staff development, and strategic growth initiatives, helping deliver critical infrastructure that supports Florida's growing communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from planning and design through construction support and closeout.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, contracts, and overall project performance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal clients and key project stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with utilities, local governments, and industry partners across Florida.
  • Provide strategic guidance on water and wastewater capital improvement programmes and infrastructure planning initiatives.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including process, civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental engineering professionals.
  • Identify project risks and develop effective solutions to maintain successful project outcomes.
  • Support business development activities, including client engagement, proposal development, interviews, and pursuit strategies.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineering staff to promote technical excellence and career growth.
  • Facilitate collaboration across project teams to ensure efficient execution and high-quality deliverables.
  • Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements, permitting standards, and quality management procedures.
  • Support resource planning and workload management across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, technical conferences, and client meetings throughout Florida.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the water practice through market development and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Champion innovative, sustainable, and resilient infrastructure solutions that address Florida's evolving water challenges.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience delivering municipal water and/or wastewater projects.
  • Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and client relationships.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licence.
  • Experience supporting business development and project pursuits is highly desirable.
