A respected Texas-based engineering consulting firm is seeking a Pipeline Engineer to join its growing Water Infrastructure team in Austin. Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver water and wastewater pipeline projects for municipal clients.
- Support the planning, design, and rehabilitation of:
- Water transmission mains
- Water distribution systems
- Wastewater collection systems
- Force mains
- Pump stations and related infrastructure
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, plans, and specifications.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams throughout project delivery.
- Perform hydraulic analyses and assist with utility infrastructure planning efforts.
- Participate in meetings with municipalities, utilities, and other stakeholders.
- Support project management activities including scope, budget, and schedule tracking.
- Assist with proposal development and client relationship management efforts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in water and wastewater engineering consulting.
- PE license or ability to obtain licensure within 6 months.
- Experience delivering municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of pipeline design and utility conveyance systems.
- Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as WaterCAD, SewerCAD, InfoWater, InfoWorks, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
Preferred Experience
- Capital Improvement Program (CIP) project experience.
- Exposure to groundwater supply, aquifer storage and recovery (ASR), or broader water resource projects.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and coordinating project teams.
- Familiarity with Texas municipal clients and regulatory requirements.
- Proposal development and business development exposure.
