In this role, you'll have the opportunity to influence the success of large-scale projects that drive the renewable energy transition while working in a collaborative, agile, and results-driven environment.
What You'll Do Day-to-Day:
As part of the Engineering team, you will oversee a variety of engineering projects across multiple disciplines, including civil, structural, geotechnical, mechanical, and electrical engineering. You will work closely with the Procurement and Construction teams, ensuring the seamless progression of projects from early-stage designs to final "Issued for Construction" (IFC) documents. Your role will focus on technical coordination and project execution across the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phases, ensuring each project is delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with budget expectations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Engineering Leadership: Manage and coordinate engineering efforts across multiple disciplines, ensuring that each technical aspect of the project is efficiently executed and aligned with project goals.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the Procurement and Construction teams to ensure design, procurement, and construction processes are well-integrated and optimized for maximum efficiency.
- Design Optimization: Identify and implement design optimization opportunities to improve project performance and reduce costs, working closely with both internal and external subject matter experts.
- Project Management: Contribute to the entire lifecycle of projects, from early-stage development through final construction, ensuring smooth transitions between phases and timely delivery.
- Technical Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for technical challenges and decision-making, ensuring that solutions meet both operational and safety standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and risks to stakeholders, ensuring clear and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and the adoption of best practices within the engineering team, ensuring ongoing development and success of renewable energy projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field).
- 5+ years of experience in large-scale engineering project management, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience in renewable energy projects - solar, wind, energy storage.
- Strong technical expertise in EPC project management, with experience across multiple engineering disciplines.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects with an emphasis on safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
Desired Skills:
- Master's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification.
- Proficiency with project management software and engineering tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, Revit, etc.).
- Knowledge of energy storage systems, grid integration, or electrical infrastructure.
- Experience working on multi-phase, large-scale projects with a significant capital investment.
