BCEI Preconstruction Manager

We are partnering with a US-headquartered design, engineering and construction management firm that is expanding its mission-critical capability across Australia.
Looking for a Preconstruction Manager to support the planning and development of complex data centre and mission-critical construction projects.
This role will suit a commercially minded construction professional who can bring together design, estimating, procurement and project delivery teams to ensure projects are properly planned before construction begins.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead preconstruction activities from early-stage planning through to construction handover
* Review design documentation, scopes of work and project requirements
* Coordinate input from consultants, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders
* Support cost planning, estimating, value engineering and constructability reviews
* Develop procurement strategies, tender packages and bid evaluations
* Identify programme, design, commercial and delivery risks
* Assist with project schedules, budgets and execution strategies
* Ensure preconstruction decisions align with client requirements and project outcomes
What we are looking for:
- Experience in preconstruction, estimating, project management or design management
* Exposure to data centres, mission-critical facilities or technically complex construction projects
* Strong understanding of construction methodology, procurement and commercial planning
* Ability to review technical drawings, specifications and project documentation
* Experience working with consultants, subcontractors and client-side stakeholders
* Strong communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
* A relevant qualification in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying or a related discipline
