Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
Salary: Up to $120,000 base salary (depending on experience) + Bonus + Vehicle Allowance/Company Vehicle + Full Benefits
About the Role
We are seeking a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Engineer to join a growing team supporting commercial and mission-critical projects throughout the DFW area. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in Automated Logic Controls (ALC) who enjoys designing, programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting building automation systems.
You will work closely with project managers, field technicians, and end users to deliver high-quality BAS solutions across a variety of facilities including commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, education campuses, and data centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and engineer BAS solutions utilizing the Automated Logic Controls (ALC) product line.
- Develop control sequences, system architecture, and network layouts for new and retrofit projects.
- Program and configure ALC controllers, graphics, alarms, trends, and user interfaces.
- Support system integration with HVAC equipment, VFDs, chillers, boilers, lighting systems, and other building technologies.
- Perform commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, and system optimization activities.
- Review project drawings, specifications, and design documentation.
- Provide technical support to field technicians, customers, and project teams.
- Assist with project turnover documentation, training, and customer demonstrations.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and in accordance with company and customer standards.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience within the Building Automation Systems industry.
- Hands-on experience with the Automated Logic Controls (ALC) product suite.
- Experience programming, commissioning, and troubleshooting BAS/DDC systems.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC controls, control sequences, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, and common building automation communication protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.
- Strong problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the DFW metroplex as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other BAS platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Alerton, Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Delta Controls, or Distech.
- Experience supporting mission-critical facilities or data center environments.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
- Previous experience with graphics development and system integration.
