Control Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Provide electrical design support for a wide range of industrial projects, including power distribution systems, motor control centers (MCCs), control panels, instrumentation systems, and facility upgrades.
• Support the design and development of industrial control systems for manufacturing, process, water/wastewater, energy, and other industrial applications.
• Create and modify electrical drawings, control schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, and construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Assist with PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming for new installations, system expansions, upgrades, and modernization projects.
• Participate in system integration activities, including hardware configuration, software development, factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), and commissioning efforts.
• Support plant startup activities, troubleshooting, and field commissioning to ensure systems operate safely and according to design intent.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, clients, vendors, and field personnel throughout all phases of project execution.
• Prepare technical documentation, design reports, operating procedures, test plans, and project deliverables.
• Assist with troubleshooting and optimization of existing electrical and control systems to improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
• Ensure designs and deliverables comply with applicable industry standards, safety requirements, and client specifications.
• Maintain strong communication with clients and actively contribute to developing long-term relationships through responsive service and technical expertise.
• Support multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining quality, schedule, and budget expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
• Experience with industrial electrical design, controls engineering, automation systems, or system integration projects.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD for electrical and controls design documentation.
• Experience with PLC programming platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric, or similar systems is preferred.
• Familiarity with HMI and SCADA development platforms is highly desirable.
• Understanding of industrial networking, instrumentation, process control systems, and electrical power distribution principles.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in both office and field environments.
• Excellent technical writing, documentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
• Ability to build and maintain positive client relationships through professionalism and technical competence.
