A rapidly growing engineering consulting firm specializing in mission-critical infrastructure is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to help drive the design and delivery of hyperscale and enterprise data center projects across North America. This is a fully remote opportunity offering the chance to lead complex, high-profile projects while working alongside a team of industry experts. Relevant experience includes leadership of critical power systems, MV/LV electrical distribution, generators, UPS systems, commissioning coordination, and technical oversight of large-scale data center programs.
What You'll Do
- Lead electrical engineering design efforts for mission-critical and data center projects from concept through construction.
- Serve as the primary technical resource for critical power infrastructure including utility service, medium-voltage distribution, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, EPMS, and grounding systems.
- Oversee project execution, mentor junior engineers, and provide QA/QC reviews of engineering deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary design teams.
- Support equipment selection, power system studies, and construction administration activities.
- Drive technical excellence while ensuring projects meet schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
- Contribute to the development of engineering standards, best practices, and innovative solutions for next-generation data center environments.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
- Significant experience designing electrical systems for mission-critical facilities, data centers, or other high-availability environments.
- Strong understanding of MV/LV distribution, standby generation, UPS systems, protection and coordination studies, and electrical reliability principles.
- Experience leading projects and mentoring engineering teams.
- Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, SKM, ETAP, or similar power system analysis tools.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
