Position Summary
The Controls Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of HVAC temperature control systems and building automation solutions. This role works closely with project teams to develop complete design packages, review system requirements, and ensure successful implementation of control strategies.
Additional responsibilities may include support for software development, system networking, communications, and controls programming.
Key Responsibilities
Produce control system layouts and designs based on construction documents.
Develop design submittals, as-built documentation, and operation and maintenance (O&M) packages.
Coordinate equipment cut sheets and support the submittal process.
Ensure designs comply with project specifications and contract requirements.
Select appropriate control devices and components for project applications.
Develop custom graphics for building automation system interfaces.
Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to deliver complete controls solutions.
Required Qualifications
Technical Qualifications
Experience designing control systems for commercial HVAC applications.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and architectural construction documents.
Experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
