Lead the growth of a high-impact construction services business backed by the resources of a global engineering platform.

LVI Associates is working with a rapidly expanding, 200+ person engineering and construction consulting firm that is continuing to invest heavily across Florida. Backed by a larger international engineering organization, they combine the agility of a regional business with the resources, stability, and opportunities of a global platform.

As part of their next phase of growth, they are seeking a Director of Construction Services to become the face of the service line across Northeast Florida. This is a highly visible leadership position for an individual who can drive revenue, strengthen client relationships, develop teams, and build a dominant market presence.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to lead an established Construction Services division while playing a key role in its strategic growth. You'll have the autonomy to shape the business, influence hiring decisions, expand market share, and build long-term client partnerships across contractors, developers, municipalities, and engineering firms.

The successful candidate will oversee Construction Materials Testing (CMT), Special Inspections, and related field operations while working closely with executive leadership to execute ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Market Leadership

  • Serve as the face of the Construction Services division throughout Northeast Florida
  • Develop relationships with contractors, developers, owners, architects, engineers, and public agencies
  • Identify and secure new project opportunities
  • Expand existing client partnerships and increase market share
  • Represent the business at industry events, associations, and networking functions

Operations Leadership

  • Lead construction materials testing, special inspections, field and laboratory operations
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, resource allocation, and client satisfaction
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives

People Leadership

  • Mentor and develop project managers, technicians, inspectors, and future leaders
  • Support recruitment, retention, and succession planning efforts
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth

Financial Performance

  • Manage departmental revenue, profitability, utilization, and forecasting
  • Participate in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives
  • Implement growth strategies that support long-term business objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience within Construction Services, CMT, Special Inspections, Consulting Engineering, or a related industry
  • Strong business development and consultative sales experience
  • Proven track record growing client relationships and generating revenue
  • Experience leading operational teams and managing P&L performance
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • PE license preferred but not required
