Electrical Engineer - Power Generation

Location: Remote (Midwest Preferred)
Compensation: $120,000-$200,000 + Annual Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

A leading engineering consulting firm is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support power generation and energy infrastructure projects across North America. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects supporting utility, industrial, conventional generation, renewable energy, and nuclear clients.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and execution of electrical engineering projects
  • Develop electrical calculations, specifications, and technical documents
  • Prepare and review single-line diagrams, schematics, and design packages
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Support equipment evaluations and power system studies
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable industry codes and standards
  • Participate in project meetings and client interactions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 3+ years of engineering experience
  • Experience in power generation, utilities, industrial facilities, consulting, EPC, energy, or related industries
  • Knowledge of electrical power systems and design principles
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • PE License or ability to obtain
  • Experience supporting utility, power generation, or industrial projects
  • Familiarity with power system analysis, relay protection, or plant electrical systems
