We're looking for a Substation Estimator to support a growing portfolio of high-voltage substation projects. This is an opportunity to join a team delivering critical grid infrastructure and working alongside major utility clients across the region.
What You'll Do:
- Develop detailed cost estimates for substation construction projects, including new builds, expansions, and upgrades
- Review drawings, specifications, and RFPs to prepare accurate takeoffs and pricing
- Work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and procurement personnel
- Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Assist with bid preparation, risk assessment, and value engineering efforts
What We're Looking For:
- 5+ years of estimating experience in substation, utility, or power infrastructure construction
- Knowledge of high-voltage equipment such as transformers, breakers, bus systems, and grounding
- Understanding of construction means and methods, productivity factors, and project costing
- Experience supporting utility or EPC projects
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office
