A growing environmental consulting and engineering firm is seeking a Project Geologist to support environmental investigation, remediation, and regulatory compliance projects throughout the region.
This position offers a blend of field work, data analysis, project coordination, and technical reporting, making it an excellent opportunity for a geologist looking to expand their experience across a diverse portfolio of environmental projects while working alongside experienced scientists, engineers, and regulatory specialists.
Responsibilities
Conduct environmental and geological field investigations
Support site characterization, remediation, and environmental compliance projects
Coordinate field activities and oversee drilling contractors, laboratories, and other subcontractors
Collect, analyze, and interpret geological and environmental data
Prepare technical reports, environmental assessments, and regulatory documentation
Assist with project planning, execution, and regulatory compliance efforts
Communicate project findings and status updates to clients, regulators, and project teams
Ensure field activities are completed safely and in accordance with project requirements
Support multidisciplinary teams on environmental assessment and remediation projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Earth Science, Environmental Science, or a related field
2-5 years of environmental consulting, geology, or related experience
Experience conducting field investigations and environmental data collection
Strong technical writing and report preparation skills
Ability to analyze environmental and geological data and provide practical recommendations
Excellent communication, organizational, and project coordination skills
Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
Geologist-in-Training (GIT) certification or progress toward professional licensure
Experience supporting environmental remediation, site investigation, or redevelopment projects
Familiarity with GIS, geological modeling software, or environmental databases
Knowledge of groundwater, soil, and contaminant assessment techniques
