A growing heavy civil contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead night shift operations on infrastructure and civil construction projects throughout the Philadelphia area. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with experience in utilities, roadway, site development, or transportation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee nightly field operations, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity
- Coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials
- Manage project schedules and maintain production goals
- Read and interpret plans and specifications to guide field execution
- Work closely with Project Managers, inspectors, and stakeholders
- Enforce safety standards and jobsite compliance
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience as a Foreman or Superintendent in heavy civil construction
- Strong background in utilities, roadway, transportation, or site development projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience managing night shift operations is a plus
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- OSHA certification preferred
