Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Land Planning and Landscape Architecture team in the Raleigh office.
- Oversee staffing, supervision, project delivery, and departmental growth.
- Guide design development, contract documentation, cost estimation, and construction administration.
- Partner with clients to advance master plans, site plans, and entitlement processes.
- Represent the firm and clients in public forums, including planning boards and community engagement sessions.
- Drive business development through networking, proposal writing, and client relationship management.
- Ensure quality control, financial oversight, and strategic planning for the department.
Qualifications
- Degree in Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning
- Professional registration as a Landscape Architect or Certified Planner (preferred)
- 7+ years of experience in land planning and landscape architecture
- Strong portfolio across residential, commercial, recreational, and mixed-use projects
- Expertise in site and master planning, grading, planting, hardscape design, and construction documentation
- Familiarity with entitlement and permitting processes in Raleigh, Wake County, and surrounding areas
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
- Proven leadership, business development, and client management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Experience with QA/QC programs and multidisciplinary project environments
