Operations Manager
Title: Construction Manager - Simple Cycle / Combined Cycle Power Generation
Location: Project-based opportunities throughout United States.
Salary: Up to $200k (DOE)
Summary:
An employee-owned construction organization is seeking a Construction Manager to support utility-scale simple cycle and combined cycle power generation projects. This position will play a key role in field execution, subcontractor management, safety performance, quality control, and schedule adherence on large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced construction leader looking to work on major power generation projects with a strong pipeline of upcoming work.
Responsibilities:
- Leading day-to-day field construction activities
- Managing subcontractors and coordinating site operations
- Monitoring project schedule, productivity, quality, and safety performance
- Supporting construction execution planning and field logistics
- Implementing schedule recovery plans when required
- Leading subcontractor coordination meetings
- Assisting with client communication and field issue resolution
- Coordinating turnover, startup, punch list, and project closeout activities
- Mentoring superintendents and field leadership teams
- Driving continuous improvement throughout project execution
Requirements:
- 10+ years of construction supervisory or leadership experience
- Experience on simple cycle, combined cycle, or other power generation projects
- Strong subcontractor management and field coordination experience
- OSHA training/certification
- EPC project experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent field experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
