THE OPPORTUNITY:
A CAD Tech to support transportation, utility, and infrastructure projects. This person will work closely with engineers, surveyors, and project teams to develop construction plans and technical drawings while ensuring quality and accuracy throughout the design process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Prepare detailed construction plans and drawings using Bentley and/or Autodesk software
- Support roadway, utility, transportation, and infrastructure projects
- Update drawings based on design revisions and project requirements
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and design staff throughout all phases of project delivery
- Organize and maintain project files and documentation
- Assist with quantities, estimates, and plan production
- Participate in quality control reviews and internal project reviews
- Manage multiple assignments while meeting project deadlines
- Attend internal and client meetings as needed
- Provide guidance and support to junior drafting staff when appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred
- Experience preparing engineering drawings and construction plans
- Proficiency with Bentley MicroStation and/or Autodesk AutoCAD
- Experience supporting transportation, utility, civil, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of drafting standards and construction documents
- Ability to interpret engineering markups and design redlines
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
COMPENSATION
- $25.00-42.00/hour
- ESOP participation after Year 1
- Unlimited overtime available
