Project Executive, HVAC
An established, mid-sized mechanical contractor is seeking a senior leader to take ownership of its Westford, MA office. This individual will play a critical role in driving operational performance, leading project teams, and supporting continued growth across HVAC and plumbing construction projects.
This is a high-impact position suited for someone who combines strong project delivery experience with leadership, client engagement, and business oversight capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day-to-day operations of the Westford office, overseeing project execution and team performance
Manage a portfolio of large-scale mechanical construction projects (HVAC, piping, plumbing) from preconstruction through closeout
Provide leadership and mentorship to Project Managers, Engineers, and field teams
Oversee scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial performance of projects and the office
Support preconstruction efforts, including estimating review, value engineering, and project planning
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, GCs, and subcontractors
Drive business growth through client development, repeat work, and strategic pursuits
Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control, and company best practices
Collaborate with executive leadership on regional strategy, hiring, and operational improvements
Qualifications
10-15+ years of experience in mechanical construction (HVAC/plumbing preferred)
Proven track record managing complex commercial/industrial projects
Prior experience in a leadership capacity (Senior PM, PM Lead, Operations Manager, or Director-level)
Strong understanding of project financials, cost control, and forecasting
Ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive results
Experience working with local New England clients and contractors is preferred
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
