Project Manager - Civil Water/Wastewater
A growing, multidisciplinary engineering and infrastructure consulting firm is seeking a Project Manager - Water/Wastewater to join its Baton Rouge team. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the planning, design, and execution of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Conduct engineering analyses and evaluations to support municipal infrastructure improvements.
- Perform hydraulic modeling and analysis of:
- Water distribution systems
- Sanitary sewer collection systems
- Lift stations and pumping stations
- Water transmission infrastructure
- Develop planning studies, technical reports, and infrastructure assessments.
- Design water distribution, treatment, wastewater collection, and treatment systems.
- Evaluate existing infrastructure and develop rehabilitation and improvement recommendations.
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and client communications.
- Attend client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout project delivery.
- Prepare engineering plans, specifications, and contract documents.
- Mentor and support junior engineers and technical staff.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable engineering standards, regulations, and quality-control procedures.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience
- 5+ years of water/wastewater engineering and design experience.
- Experience delivering municipal infrastructure projects from planning through design and construction support.
Certifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana required.
- Ability or willingness to obtain licensure in neighboring states is preferred.
Technical Skills
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, and ESRI/GIS products.
- Strong understanding of water and wastewater system design principles.
- Hydraulic modeling experience preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
- Excellent communication, project management, and client-facing skills.
