Senior Project Manager - Water Infrastructure
A well-established, employee-owned multidisciplinary consulting firm is seeking an experienced project management professional to support and lead complex infrastructure and facilities projects, with a focus on the water and wastewater sector. This role offers the opportunity to oversee projects from planning and design through construction and closeout while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering and architecture teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing complex engineering and infrastructure projects from initiation through completion.
- Leading internal project teams, subconsultants, contractors, regulatory stakeholders, and client representatives.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for clients and maintaining strong long-term relationships.
- Developing project scopes, budgets, schedules, fee proposals, work plans, and resource allocations.
- Monitoring project performance to ensure delivery on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Managing contract administration, project financials, invoicing reviews, reporting, and project controls.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary design efforts and resolving technical or execution-related challenges.
- Overseeing project progress tracking, risk management, and construction phase coordination.
- Supporting business development efforts by identifying opportunities for repeat work and new projects.
- Mentoring project teams and contributing to improvements in project delivery processes and best practices.
- Representing the organization at industry, community, and client meetings as needed.
Desired qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license, Registered Architect credential, or similar professional registration preferred.
- Approximately 10+ years of experience managing multidisciplinary engineering and design projects.
- Experience overseeing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and technical delivery.
- Water and wastewater infrastructure project experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and client management skills.
- Familiarity with project scheduling tools and project management methodologies is advantageous.
- PMP certification or comparable project management credentials viewed favorably.
