An established and growing multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to lead the design and delivery of impactful projects across commercial, healthcare, education, civic, hospitality, industrial, and mission-critical sectors. What You'll Do
As an Electrical Project Manager, you will oversee all phases of electrical engineering projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and internal project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical engineering projects from initial planning and design through construction completion.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and overall project execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Direct the design and coordination of:
- Power distribution systems
- Lighting and lighting controls
- Emergency and standby power systems
- Low-voltage systems coordination
- Fire alarm systems
- Energy-efficient and sustainable building solutions
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, structural, architectural, technology, and construction teams.
- Review engineering calculations, specifications, reports, and construction documents for quality and accuracy.
- Monitor project performance to ensure successful delivery, profitability, and client satisfaction.
- Support business development efforts, proposal preparation, and long-term client relationship growth.
- Participate in construction administration activities, including RFIs, submittal reviews, field observations, and project meetings.
- Mentor engineers, designers, and BIM professionals while helping develop the next generation of technical talent.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 6+ years of electrical engineering experience within the AEC industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial building electrical systems and construction documentation.
- Experience coordinating projects with multidisciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with NEC, energy codes, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or active pursuit of licensure.
- Previous experience managing electrical engineering projects.
- Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.
- Experience managing project budgets, schedules, and client relationships.
