Position Overview

On behalf of our client, we are seeking an experienced Roadway Project Manager to join a growing transportation team in Dallas. This individual will lead the delivery of complex TxDOT and municipal roadway projects while serving as a key contributor to business development and client growth initiatives throughout North Texas. The ideal candidate will bring a strong blend of project delivery, client management, and proven success winning transportation work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage roadway and transportation projects for TxDOT, municipalities, counties, and other public-sector clients.
  • Lead project teams through planning, design, PS&E development, and project delivery.
  • Maintain responsibility for project scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Develop and strengthen relationships with TxDOT districts, municipal agencies, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead proposal development, interviews, and pursuit strategies for new transportation opportunities.
  • Identify and secure new work through existing relationships and business development efforts.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical guidance to engineering staff.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including traffic, drainage, bridge, and utility disciplines.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with TxDOT and local agency standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 12-15+ years of roadway design and transportation engineering experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas.
  • Strong experience managing TxDOT and municipal transportation projects.
  • Demonstrated project management experience with responsibility for budgets, schedules, and client communication.
  • Proven track record of winning work and contributing to transportation practice growth.
  • Experience leading proposals, client presentations, and project interviews.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and team-development skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Established relationships with TxDOT districts, municipalities, and public-sector clients across North Texas.
  • Experience serving as Project Manager or Project Principal on roadway, highway, corridor, intersection, or complete streets projects.
  • History of successfully growing client accounts and expanding transportation-related services.
