PEORIA | Construction Engineer
Our client is seeking a Construction Engineer to join their growing transportation and infrastructure team in Peoria, Illinois.

Responsibilities
- Perform on-site observation of construction activities, repairs, testing, and installations.
- Coordinate project activities with clients, contractors, inspectors, and public agencies.
- Serve as a liaison between project stakeholders and contractors throughout construction.
- Monitor project schedules, shop drawing submissions, and construction progress.
- Maintain daily reports, meeting minutes, pay requests, and project documentation.
- Observe, measure, and document construction activities to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Review contractor pay applications and verify completed work.
- Identify and document construction deficiencies and support resolution efforts.
- Assist with civil engineering design and project development activities during non-construction periods.
- Provide exceptional client service and contribute to successful project delivery.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in construction engineering or construction inspection consulting.
- Experience supporting roadway, bridge, utility, or infrastructure construction projects.
- Familiarity with IDOT, Tollway, or similar construction management software and programs.
- Strong written, verbal, organizational, and computer skills.
- Ability to independently manage multiple responsibilities and priorities.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the service area as needed.
Preferred:
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification.
- Commitment to pursuing Professional Engineer (PE) licensure.

- Base salary of $83,000 - $100,000
