Construction Survey Project Coordinator

We are partnered with a well-established and growing surveying and geospatial firm seeking a Construction Survey Project Coordinator to support construction projects throughout Western North Carolina. This role is ideal for someone with a strong construction surveying background who may not yet have all of the qualifications of a senior Construction Project Manager but is ready to take on more responsibility and grow within a rapidly expanding team.

Due to an immediate project backlog and increasing demand, our client is looking to make a hire quickly. This opportunity offers a mix of field and office responsibilities, exposure to project management, and a clear path for advancement within the organization.

The Construction Survey Project Coordinator will be responsible for:

Supporting the execution of construction surveying projects from site layout through project closeout
Assisting with site calibrations, localizations, and construction field control activities
Working with CAD software, Carlson, and Trimble Business Center to support project deliverables
Coordinating with field crews, project managers, contractors, and clients throughout project lifecycles
Reviewing construction plans and assisting with survey calculations, layouts, and as-built documentation
Helping manage project schedules, priorities, and day-to-day project needs
Providing a high level of customer service while supporting successful project delivery

The Construction Survey Project Coordinator should have the following qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction surveying, site layout, or related field operations
Experience with Carlson, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or similar survey/CAD software
Familiarity with construction field control, site calibrations, and construction layout workflows
Ability to read and interpret civil construction plans including grading, utilities, roads, and site development plans
Strong communication and organizational skills
Valid driver's license with a good driving record
A motivated, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow professionally

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting project management functions or coordinating construction survey projects
Exposure to 3D machine control models and construction technology platforms
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, Geomatics, or a related field
