A growing environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Remediation Project Manager to lead complex remediation projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and helping drive business growth throughout the Midwest.
This role is ideal for a true seller-doer who enjoys managing client relationships, developing new business opportunities, leading project teams, and overseeing technically challenging remediation programs from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Manage environmental remediation projects from proposal through regulatory closure
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key industrial, commercial, and public-sector clients
- Develop and maintain client relationships that generate repeat business
- Identify, pursue, and win new project opportunities
- Lead project teams and mentor junior engineers, geologists, and scientists
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, scopes, and profitability
- Direct site investigation, remediation, and environmental compliance efforts
- Review technical reports, work plans, remediation strategies, and regulatory submissions
- Coordinate with regulators, attorneys, developers, and other project stakeholders
- Support strategic growth initiatives within the remediation practice
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline
- 10+ years of environmental consulting experience
- Strong background in remediation, site investigation, and regulatory compliance
- Proven track record of project management and client development success
- Experience developing and maintaining revenue-generating client relationships
- Strong understanding of state and federal remediation programs
- Excellent leadership, communication, and business development skills
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) preferred
