About the Opportunity
A well-established multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Structural Engineering Leader to help guide and grow its structural practice throughout the Pacific Northwest. This role offers a unique blend of technical leadership, project management, client engagement, staff mentorship, and strategic growth responsibilities.
This individual will serve as a key resource for complex structural projects while helping develop the next generation of engineers and expanding the firm's presence across municipal and infrastructure markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of structural engineers and designers
- Provide technical oversight and quality reviews of structural calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Manage projects from planning and design through construction support
- Design and evaluate structures utilizing steel, concrete, masonry, timber, and foundation systems
- Collaborate with civil, mechanical, and other multidisciplinary teams
- Support proposal development, project planning, budgeting, and client presentations
- Strengthen relationships with public-sector and municipal clients
- Participate in business development and strategic growth initiatives
- Assist with hiring, coaching, and long-term team development

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering
- Master's degree preferred
- Significant structural engineering consulting experience
- Strong background in structural analysis and design
- Experience leading projects and mentoring engineering staff
- Proven ability to manage client relationships and contribute to business development efforts
- Experience with municipal, utility, or public-sector projects preferred
- Reservoir, water, or infrastructure-related structural experience is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across offices
Licensure
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Structural Engineer (SE) license strongly preferred
- Ability to obtain additional state licensure as needed
