About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Structural Project Manager to join a growing engineering team. This role is ideal for a licensed engineer who enjoys balancing project leadership, client engagement, business development, and technical structural design.

The successful candidate will oversee projects from inception through completion, manage schedules and budgets, mentor staff, and work closely with clients to deliver successful project outcomes. This position offers a clear pathway for professional growth and leadership within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Manage structural engineering projects through all phases of planning, design, and construction.
• Develop project schedules, monitor milestones, and communicate deadlines to project teams and clients.
• Prepare proposals, scopes of work, and project budgets.
• Monitor project performance and financial metrics, making adjustments as needed to maintain profitability.
• Participate in monthly invoicing activities, including budget reviews and invoice preparation.
• Provide technical oversight and structural design support for a variety of projects.
• Coordinate with internal teams and field personnel throughout project execution.
• Maintain organized project documentation, contracts, design files, and client correspondence.
• Develop and strengthen client relationships while supporting business development efforts.
• Participate in project management and leadership meetings.
• Support staff development through mentoring, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required; California licensure preferred.
• Experience managing structural engineering projects and client relationships.
• Strong understanding of structural design principles and engineering best practices.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple project priorities.
• Experience preparing proposals and supporting business development initiatives.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to lead teams and mentor junior engineers.
