Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Nuclear Senior Structural Engineer to help lead the delivery of complex engineering projects and support the expansion of their nuclear division.
The Opportunity
As a Nuclear Senior Structural Engineer, you'll take ownership of multidisciplinary engineering programmes from conception through execution, providing technical leadership, commercial oversight and client engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
You'll work alongside senior technical experts, project managers and executive stakeholders to deliver technically challenging projects whilst helping to shape the future direction of the nuclear business.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex nuclear and energy projects
- Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables and overall engineering performance
- Serve as a primary technical contact for clients and project stakeholders
- Coordinate engineering activities across multiple disciplines
- Manage project scope changes and support contract administration efforts
- Support proposal development, pursuits and business growth initiatives
Technical Leadership
- Provide guidance on engineering standards, quality processes and industry best practices
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and client requirements
- Review technical deliverables and support engineering decision-making
- Act as a technical resource and mentor across project teams
- Drive continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing initiatives
People Leadership
- Mentor and develop engineers at varying experience levels
- Support performance management and career development activities
- Assist with workforce planning and succession initiatives
- Promote a collaborative, high-performance team culture
What They're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- Previous project engineering or engineering management experience
- Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- Background within nuclear, power generation, energy, industrial or highly regulated industries preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) licence preferred
