Overview
Our client is seeking a Staff Pipeline Engineer to support the design and execution of pipeline infrastructure projects throughout the Southeast. This individual will work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams on the planning, design, and construction of transmission and distribution pipeline projects. The role offers exposure to projects from concept development through construction support.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with pipeline design projects from conceptual planning through final design.
- Prepare, modify, and review engineering drawings and design documents.
- Design pipeline system components in accordance with project requirements.
- Apply industry engineering principles, standards, and best practices to pipeline projects.
- Support technical studies, reports, calculations, specifications, and feasibility assessments.
- Coordinate with project teams to maintain quality and schedule objectives.
- Review and update engineering drawings using CAD-based software.
- Participate in client meetings, design reviews, and construction support activities.
- Conduct occasional field visits, inspections, and data collection efforts.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, project standards, and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited program.
- Approximately 2-3+ years of pipeline engineering experience.
- Consulting engineering experience preferred.
- Master's degree may be considered in lieu of a portion of experience requirements.
- Understanding of pipeline engineering principles, design standards, and industry practices.
- Proficiency with engineering software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative project environment.
- EIT/FE certification preferred.
Preferred Background
- Experience supporting natural gas, liquid, transmission, or distribution pipeline projects.
- Familiarity with engineering design deliverables, construction support, and client-facing project work.
- Ability to perform occasional field work and travel as needed.
Location Flexibility: Multiple office locations available throughout the Southeast region.
