Position Overview

Our client is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join their growing team. This individual will work alongside experienced engineers and project managers on a variety of new construction, renovation, adaptive reuse, and structural rehabilitation projects.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, collaborative, and eager to contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from concept through construction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and cold-formed steel structures.
  • Develop construction documents, calculations, and specifications.
  • Assist with the design of commercial, institutional, healthcare, residential, and mixed-use projects.
  • Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines throughout project development.
  • Participate in site visits, structural assessments, investigations, and condition evaluations.
  • Respond to construction-phase questions and review submittals and shop drawings.
  • Support project managers in maintaining project schedules and deliverables.
  • Contribute to value engineering efforts and provide practical, cost-effective design solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable building codes and industry standards.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis.
  • 4+ years of structural engineering experience.
  • EIT certification or ability to obtain.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
  • Working knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, NDS, and other relevant design standards.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Preferred

  • PE license or progression toward licensure.
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, RAM, RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, or similar software.
  • Exposure to building rehabilitation, renovations, or forensic investigations.
  • Experience coordinating directly with clients and design teams.
