A respected engineering consulting firm is seeking a Structural Project Manager to join its growing New York City team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience in building restoration, structural assessments, façade projects, and rehabilitation of existing structures who is looking to take ownership of projects and work directly with clients.
What You'll Be Doing
- Manage restoration and structural repair projects from investigation through construction completion
- Perform site inspections, condition assessments, testing, and field documentation
- Prepare engineering reports, drawings, specifications, and repair recommendations
- Coordinate project schedules, budgets, and deliverables
- Review contractor submittals, change orders, and payment applications
- Attend project meetings and serve as a primary client contact
- Provide construction administration and observe work in progress
- Mentor junior staff and contribute to technical development within the team
What They're Looking For
- Structural engineering experience focused on existing buildings, restoration, rehabilitation, or façade projects
- Strong understanding of construction documents, specifications, and building systems
- Experience conducting site investigations and preparing technical reports
- Ability to independently manage projects and client relationships
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Familiarity with NYC building regulations and restoration projects is highly desirable
