Technical Service Engineer

Provide technical support and field-based service to industrial customers across water, utilities, and manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for existing customer installations and treatment programs.
  • Support the implementation, commissioning, and optimization of new applications, systems, and projects.
  • Conduct site surveys, system assessments, audits, and performance evaluations.
  • Investigate operational issues and perform field testing to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work closely with commercial and account teams to provide technical input for customer proposals and solution development.
  • Prepare technical reports outlining findings, recommendations, and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor system performance and document customer value creation and operational improvements where applicable.
  • Develop and maintain troubleshooting guides, technical documentation, and best-practice resources.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external service providers to support maintenance and repair activities.
  • Assist with installation planning, site readiness reviews, and project roll-out activities.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions for internal teams and customers.
  • Stay current with industry developments, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Required bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry with 3 years of experience in technical engineer roles or similar.
  • Experience supporting industrial utilities systems such as cooling water, steam/boiler systems, wastewater treatment, or process water applications.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting and field service experience within manufacturing, industrial, energy, or process industries.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues independently.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a customer-facing environment.
  • Comfortable preparing technical reports and presenting findings to customers and internal teams.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, including industrial facilities.
  • Valid Singapore driving license.
