Senior Transportation Engineering Project Manager | West Virginia
A well-established, employee-owned multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consulting firm is seeking a Senior Transportation Engineering Project Manager to help lead and grow its transportation practice in West Virginia.
This leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced transportation professional who enjoys balancing technical project delivery, client management, business development, and team leadership. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the future growth of an established transportation group while working alongside a large team of engineers, scientists, surveyors, and technical specialists.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor transportation engineers and project managers.
- Manage the delivery of complex transportation, roadway, and highway projects.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, contracts, and financial performance.
- Perform technical reviews and QA/QC of engineering deliverables.
- Develop and maintain relationships with public and private sector clients.
- Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for growth.
- Participate in strategic planning and expansion of the transportation practice.
- Serve as a client-facing leader at meetings, presentations, and public forums.
- Support staff development, succession planning, and team growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 12+ years of transportation, highway, or roadway engineering experience.
- Strong project management and financial oversight experience.
- Experience with OpenRoads, Civil 3D, and/or InRoads.
- Proven client management and business development skills preferred.
