Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pump Stations & Lift Stations

Travel Throughout the Southeast U.S.

A leading heavy civil and utility contractor is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee the construction of water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, lift stations, and related utility infrastructure projects throughout the Southeast. The majority of projects are located in Southern Alabama and the Florida Panhandle, with additional work throughout the region as needed.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing contractor with a strong backlog of water infrastructure projects and a reputation for delivering high-quality work across the Southeast. The ideal candidate is a hands-on field leader who excels at managing crews, subcontractors, schedules, and project execution while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site construction activities from project startup through closeout.
  • Supervise field personnel, subcontractors, equipment, and daily operations.
  • Coordinate project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality control, and environmental standards.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Owners, Engineers, and Inspectors to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Conduct daily planning meetings, progress updates, and site inspections.
  • Manage manpower, materials, equipment utilization, and subcontractor performance.
  • Identify and resolve field issues to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and communication with project stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Superintendent experience in water/wastewater or heavy civil construction.
  • Proven experience building or rehabilitating:
    • Water Treatment Plants (WTP)
    • Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP)
    • Pump Stations
    • Lift Stations
    • Underground Utilities
    • Force Mains
  • Strong knowledge of concrete structures, process piping, mechanical systems, and civil sitework.
  • Ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors on complex infrastructure projects.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel throughout the Southeast and work where projects are located.
