Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Building Automation Project Manager to support the delivery of large-scale mission critical and data center projects throughout Northern Virginia. This individual will oversee the execution of building automation and controls projects from kickoff through completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing BAS/BMS projects in complex commercial or mission critical environments and possess strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of building automation projects from planning through closeout.
- Coordinate project teams, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and project partners.
- Monitor project progress and ensure quality standards are met.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and challenges.
- Review project documentation, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Support commissioning, startup, and project turnover activities.
- Ensure compliance with company, customer, and safety requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience managing building automation, controls, or related construction projects.
- Knowledge of BAS/BMS systems and controls technologies.
- Familiarity with mission critical, data center, commercial, or industrial environments.
- Strong organizational and project leadership skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working with contractors, owners, and consulting engineers.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
