About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a growing Building Automation contractor that is expanding its presence across Texas. Due to continued project growth, they are looking to add an experienced Project Manager to lead BAS projects from kickoff through completion. This role offers the opportunity to manage high-profile commercial, healthcare, industrial, education, and mission-critical projects while working with a strong technical and operations team.
Position Summary
The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Building Automation and Controls projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple BAS/DDC projects simultaneously from award through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
- Coordinate engineering, programming, commissioning, installation, and service teams.
- Lead project kickoff meetings and maintain regular communication with customers and stakeholders.
- Monitor project financial performance, including labor tracking, change orders, and profitability.
- Manage subcontractors and vendor relationships.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure projects comply with contract requirements, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Review project documentation, drawings, and specifications.
- Support commissioning activities and project turnover to the customer.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to support future business opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of Project Management experience within Building Automation, Building Controls, or HVAC Controls.
- Strong understanding of BAS/DDC systems and project execution.
- Experience managing commercial construction or retrofit projects.
- Ability to read and interpret controls drawings, sequences of operation, and technical specifications.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and forecasting.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.
