Position Overview
A growing electrical contractor is looking for an experienced Electrical Operations Manager to join its team in Atlanta, GA.
This is a senior leadership position responsible for overseeing multiple electrical construction projects across the Southeast, with responsibility for project performance, field operations, manpower, scheduling, financial performance, safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead electrical operations across multiple projects throughout the Southeast.
- Oversee Project Managers, Electrical Engineers and field leadership teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget and to required quality standards.
- Monitor project schedules, manpower requirements and resource allocation.
- Review project performance, costs, schedules and operational risks.
- Support Project Managers with contract management, scope review and project execution.
- Review electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
- Conduct project and jobsite reviews to monitor quality, safety and productivity.
- Ensure compliance with NEC requirements and applicable electrical safety standards.
- Work closely with clients, GCs and internal project teams.
- Support estimating and preconstruction efforts when required.
- Drive operational improvements across project management and field execution.
- Utilize construction technology including Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6 and McCormick.
- Mentor and develop project and field leadership teams.
Requirements
- Extensive experience within the electrical construction industry.
- Previous experience as an Operations Manager, Project Executive, Senior Project Manager or similar electrical construction leadership role.
- Proven experience overseeing multiple electrical construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, drawings, schematics and installation.
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Experience managing Project Managers and field leadership teams.
- Strong commercial understanding of project budgets, contracts, labor and material costs.
- Experience with project scheduling, manpower planning and resource allocation.
- Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, McCormick or similar construction software.
- Strong leadership, communication and client-management skills.
- Ability to travel throughout the Southeast as required.
